Brazil beat Scotland 3–0 at Miami Stadium to top Group C and advance to the round of 32 as section winners. Vinícius Júnior punished Scott McKenna's error to open the scoring inside seven minutes, headed in Bruno Guimarães's cross in first-half stoppage time after an earlier strike had been ruled out for a foul, and Matheus Cunha extended the lead on 60 minutes when Guimarães slipped a pass through for the Manchester United forward to finish.

Vinícius Júnior was named Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match as Carlo Ancelotti's side finished with 54% possession, 21 shots and nine on target to Scotland's 14 and five in front of 64,478 fans. Danilo and Fabinho were booked for Brazil and Ryan Christie saw yellow late on, while Neymar entered in the 76th minute for his first World Cup appearance since October 2023 to a thunderous ovation from the majority-Brazilian crowd.

Brazil finish Group C on seven points, ahead of Morocco on goal difference. Scotland end third on three points with a minus-three goal difference and must wait to discover whether they advance as one of the best third-placed teams, while Haiti were eliminated earlier in the evening despite scoring twice against Morocco in Atlanta.
