Paraguay defeated Türkiye 1–0 at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium to revive their Group D campaign. Matías Galarza fired in from Julio Enciso's pass after just 64 seconds, and Gustavo Alfaro's side held on despite Miguel Almirón becoming the first player sent off under new laws covering mouth-covering in confrontations, dismissed in the third minute of first-half stoppage time.

Türkiye dominated with 79% possession and 32 shots but could not find an equaliser — Mert Müldür hit the bar and post with a header before half-time. Galarza was named Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match as Paraguay finished with five shots on target in front of a sell-out crowd of 68,827.

Türkiye are eliminated with zero points from two matches. Paraguay join Australia on three points and face the Socceroos in Santa Clara on 25 June, while the USA — already through — close the group against Türkiye in Los Angeles on the same evening.
